5 weird things

I'm finally getting around to this tag by this girl. I'm supposed to tell 5 weird things about myself. Unfortunately, a limit of 5 things does not even begin to come close to my weirdness level, but here you go anyway.

1. I am a HUGE Beatles fan. My friend Julia and I used to have our own band in high school called the Beatlettes (pronounced Beatle-ettes). Oh, yeah. She was Johnna Lennin, and I was Paula MacCartney. I've got some awesome pictures that I am SO not posting here...
2. I am deathly afraid of driving on bridges over water. Overpasses, with land underneath, totally fine. When driving over a bridge, I have to pretend there is land underneath me, or else I start getting lightheaded. Either way, serious white knuckling across. Especially the Blue Bridge. I don't know, I guess I've seen too many movies about people trying to get out of cars while underwater, and something about trying to rescue my children in a car underwater freaks me out. I guess my logic is that at least if you ever drive off an overpass onto land, it's instant death, no rescuing necessary. (I warned you I was weird).
3. I like to write music. All of my kids (and one very good friend) have their own piano song written by me, sheet music and all.
4. I own all of the seasons and movies of The Pretender.
5. I LOVE to sing. At the top of my lungs. Because I sing ALL the time, my kids do too! Nothing makes me more proud as a mother than driving the kids to school listening to music, when the chorus of a David Archuleta song comes on (thanks for the CD Lorie), and ALL of my kids (with the exception of Addison, but not for long...) join in at the top of their little lungs.

Amy --- you are Weird!!!

How did I ever get to be friends with such a weird person??? Oh yeah, I'm weird too!!

I WISH that I could sing, and I finally got a piano last MAY and am slowly trying to teach myself to play. Wish you or Lorie lived closer and I'd have you give me lessons and my girls. But luckily a friend in my ward is doing it, and it isn't bad.

I so wish our kids could play together. And the bridge thing -- they kind of freak me out too. But not quite that bad.

Great to know you a little better. Thanks for sharing.

love your list! I am so jealous that you can write music....play it at that....i pretend I can, lol. I also love the Beatles...probably not as much as you....but I spent a whole summer listening to nothing but Beatles...lol.
I love learning more about you!

I love your weirdness :) I love the Beatles too! You forgot your bee phobia, I guess that makes it six. I sing all of the time too, your kids are lucky that you actually have talent. I need to send them over to your house so they can experience hearing music on key.

OK...you have got to share your compositions! I would love to hear them!

Great seeing you tonight. It was funny....one of my fellow musician friends said "so how do you know most of the people here?"
And me being totally lame admitted "they are all my internet friends"

I love the beatles! I HATE driving over bridges and I sing way too loud all of the time. But I can't write music and if I was in a band I would have to play the finger cymbals, so we aren't exactly the same! ;D

You and Karen Johnson have the exact same fear of bridges. She said she wants to drive with an ice pick in her car just in case she has to break a window. You two are weirdos together! (just kidding!)

Hi there Amy, thanks for the visit to my blog and your kind comments.

I LOVE your blog. You have a great family!

Yes I will comment.

You should totally buy one of those glass breakers for your car (or do you already have one).

I like the Beatles, but didn't have my own band growing up. GOSH, I'm a loser.

Hey I thought I already commented here. I love you weird things... cause I think they're normal... minus the Beatles. HA HA HA

The bridge thing is totally normal...nothing to worry about at all. I think it's a sign of high intelligence to be so concerned with it actually...yeah, it's my biggest fear too! Nice to know I'm not alone!
