The icecream man drove by our house a week ago, and the kids were soooo excited. Do I ever buy from him? No. Did I always want it as a kid? Yes. Did I ever get any? No. But Jeremy had to get them some. I didn't ask, but I'm sure it costed more than I would have liked... but you can't put a price on the happy squeals of delight of little Emily running full speed up the sidewalk back from the icecream truck carrying an icecream sandwich in each hand: "Mommy!!! WE GOT ICECREAM!!!!!" That could possibly be one of the cutest things I have ever seen.

...and oh, how excited was this little boy. He loves his "creancone." I had to teach him how to eat a push-up... he didn't quite get it at first. He had it upside-down trying to suck the bottom part like a straw.

Today we let the kids swim in the front yard for our activity for Family Home Evening. Addison LOVED the water. He stuck it out longer than any of the other kids and stayed in the water the whole time! I know I'm biased, but he could quite possibly be one of the cutest babies on the face of this planet. I mean, really, how can you resist this face??

...and just because I thought it was cute:

It's early, but now I want ice cream. Yummers..
So fun and the kids must have just been so happy.
Ice cream trucks still exist? We don't get them around here... probably a good thing!
I am just like you, I always wanted to buy from the ice ceram truck as a kid and was never able to. Now, I too, have heard the ice cream truck in our neighbordhood, but not just one, TWO of them going up and down the street very slowly. Drives me bonkers!! I have not given in yet and bought any, much to my children's dismay. I am so mean aren't I.
Man even if I heard the ice cream truck we'd be outta luck. Who ever has cash on them? Do they take debit?
My kids heard it last night, and begged for ice cream, but like Heather said, who has cash? I guess I could have scrounged up some quarters for them ;)
And yes, Addison really is one of the cutest babies ever! I love that face!!
Oh my gosh, I hear the ice cream truck ALL THE TIME. And around here it always sounds like they drive around on Sunday afternoons, and in that case it's easy tell the kids NO!! But other days, I'd love to, but it really is EXPENSIVE and I too never really have cash on me. Ever. So I compromise with the kids and say we can go to the store and buy some fancy things, for the same amount of money.
Glad they are all having fun.
Every kid should have the opportunity to buy at least one ice cream from an ice cream truck in their lives, I say. We let ours get some just a couple days ago, too. That truck is relentless in our subdivision. Even the kids just wanted the music to STOP! :-) Nate says they play it more to make the parents annoyed so they'll come out and pay them to go away then to actually get kids attention. :-) And, yeah, the ice cream WAS expensive, but somehow we dug up enough change to get a couple.
ahh....the ice cream truck! Such great memories!
We saw one by the library last summer but couldn't bring ourselves to pay the CRAZY prices!
Lucky kids! As they should be! Love them. Plus Addi seriously is the cutest kid on the planet...it's not just bias. They're all cute!!!
Send him our way please. I haven't seen an ice cream truck in years.
He is definitely adorable! So photogenic too. I love the icecream faces, so happy!
Amy,
I just had to mention that I love your playlist! I have logged in and just let the playlist go on like a radio. Good taste.

Addison is SO adorable! Have to agree with you there! I am in love with him....and sassy little Mia....and my chubby Preston! The three cutest babies around! (I know, Mia technically isn't a baby but....close enough....)
Ha ha, I love the picture of Sean. The bent knees and the tongue. Too cute. I also really love any picture of Addie. He is growning up so quick.
I remember the ice cream trucks! We never bought anything either, but I'm sure it was a great treat for your kids! Anyways, my blog address is http://chrisandbran.blogspot.com/ :-)

we just bought those dreamsicles at the store and they even have em with the cherry aurrounding now! Oh, and that oral vaccine, was the one that made a rampage through Utah the last two summers- rotovirus=something-or-other. It's the one they get from other kids' poop in the water. Now if THAT doesn't make you wanna go get another ice cream! haha
It's true- that Addison is one of the cutest baby faces I've ever seen- like seriously great features. I am so glad you blog and I get to keep up with your sweet family. It is stuff like buying ice cream from the ice cream truck that you kids remember- it is so fun to splurge sometimes and you kids think it's Christmas or something. Sounds like it was a big hit.
