Day 5 + Lorie's pictures

The last day of my trip, I went to church with my aunt and uncle and when I walked through the doors, I saw a familiar face. My friend Alane that I went to Wicked with last April moved to Utah last year, and apparently into my aunt's ward! It was so crazy to see her! I watched her conduct a musical number, and sat behind her daughter in Young Women's. My aunt is a YW leader, so my sister and I went with her to class. It's been a while since I've been in that setting. LOL. Good times.

Lorie and I played a few rounds of Smerx (what, you've never heard of Smerx? Only the best game EVER) with Marilyn, then went over to my cousin Crystal's for an amazing dinner. Then my sister had to leave. I knew it would happen, but I wasn't ready for it. I just wish my sister lived next door. She is my best friend. I can't wait until she comes to visit next month! We're running our race together. I can't wait.

This is Lorie and I right before she left. :(

After she left, we all sat around and talked until it was time for me to go to the airport. I got a text from Jeremy as I was going through security that Sean had nearly just lost his eye. Seriously?? I thought I had made it through a trip without one of my children getting sick or injured. Thankfully, other than a nasty scratch across his cheek, he is just fine.

After I got home, my kids were all in bed, but I was itching to take a peek at my sweet baby. So I went into his room, and stroked his cheek with my hand, and he immediately sat up and said "Hi!!!" Oh my heart just melted. I missed him so much. It was so good to get away for a few days, but there is nothing that compares to being a mom.

Here are a few more pictures from Gav's wedding day that I stole from my sister's camera:

*The cone of silence (aka Lorie's ridiculous awesome umbrella). It was a good time. We had to do something while waiting in the rain for Gav and Emily!

Protecting ourselves from the elements...

The sisters minus Emily (Kristen, Lorie, me, Christina)

Yes, more jazz hands. Lorie was feeling a little obsessed today. LOL. Emily was too busy getting her pictures taken. It's like it was her "wedding day" or something. Clearly the real fun lies in jazz hands.

Kristen, Serra and my brother Ian at Gav's reception (see Lorie, I labeled them in the correct order)

Oh, and here is Marilyn's awesome game room.

We played a rather fun game called "Bamboozle"... I think it is going on my list.
A glimpse into the theater...
...and would any theater be complete without a snack bar? I think not! This thing is fully stocked! Those cupboards have theater candy in them too!

Hey- I just sent you an email asking for pictures, but if you don't have any new ones other than these you can ignore it- I just stole them off of here! Thanks! :)

I miss you guys! It was SO much fun to hang out with you, Lorie, and the cousins during the wedding. I can't wait to visit you at the end of July. Is it okay if we get there the night of July 30rd, and leave Aug. 1? We want to stay longer, but I have some school classes that start up Aug. 2. :-( (And I have a class in Boise from July 25-30.) Any way, I hope your kids are doing absolutely splendid! And tell them that their Aunt Christina and Uncle Brandon can't wait to see them. :)
