Yesterday I noticed a couple bumps and thought "poor baby has some bug bites." By last night he was covered and then this morning they looked awful. I was worried it might be chicken pox, so I called his doctor and they got me in right away. They made me use the backdoor so in case it was chicken pox, he wouldn't expose everyone in the waiting room. The only good thing about the doctor's office thinking your child has chicken pox is the fast service. No waiting at all.
Moral of the story, he does NOT have chicken pox. He has hives. That's right. An allergic reaction to.... I have no idea. There are about 100 possibilities of what it could be. Could be grass. Could be our laundry detergent. Could be nuts. Could be *gasp* strawberries! I have been so blessed to have no allergies in my first 3 children, but clearly not the case here. So I have to wait until his hives clear and I will try to pin point what his allergy actually is. It turns out that the first time your body experiences something you are allergic to, nothing will happen. But the next time, your body remembers that it didn't like it and freaks out... worse and worse each time. So whatever it is, is something he's had or had contact with before. I just don't know what. But I do know he had fresh strawberries yesterday, and I'm so hoping that's not it! How tragic would that be?!? A life without fresh strawberries!

On a side note, how I wish I could dance like this guy. Oh, wait. I probably can. I found this on Jan's blog, and I just can't stop laughing about the dancing halfway through (at about 2:17).

One of Jeremy's projects yesterday was installing this fountain that we bought 3 years ago. I really like it. Two days ago, there was no plug there. Jeremy installed that, too. Isn't he amazing? He tapped off of the switched plug in our entry way, so the fountain is only going when we want it to. I have to admit I was a little nervous when he was drilling a hole in my house. But I love the end result!
