Stupid Injuries

So I always hurt myself in the dumbest ways. Today was by far the dumbest. I hurt my shoulder this morning. so badly, I couldn't even lift my arm to pour water to take some medicine. I had to ask Jeremy to do it for me. And how did I do this, you might ask? Wait for it.

I have hurt my shoulder, neck, back before. Always something dumb: reached too far to grab something, rib goes out. Lifted my head to look at my clock, neck and shoulders go out.

Today, what did I do? I breathed. Yes, you read that right. I breathed! What am I, 90?!? If there is one thing you should be able to do without injuring yourself, it is breathing!!! I got up at 5 to go running, went to where my group meets, waited for 10 minutes and no one showed, so I thought, well, I'm not running 8 miles alone. So I went home, did some laundry and thought, I think I will read for a little while until everyone gets up. I laid down on my bed. I took a deep relaxing breath, and... out goes my shoulder. Muscles start spasming. Then I couldn't move. Super. Thankfully Jeremy took the time to massage my muscle for a while with IcyHot and let me sleep for a few hours. I'm feeling much better now, thankfully. But seriously.... I just breathed!!!

Ok, that totally sucks about breathing!

I'm sad I missed you this morning. I waited until my clock said 5:36 before deciding no one was coming. I guess we need to syncronize our watches!

oh 5am--- whoa. That alone would do me in right now. I needed a 2 hour nap after church today just to recover from waking up to Lukas' alarm, which sadly wasn't synchronized to mine this morning! LOL But, you know what's awesome? When Lukas cries in Sacrament meeting. Why you ask? Because it's MY kid who's screaming and not somebody else's. And then I get to stand up and leave that meeting with my little fussy excuse in my arms, and go sit in some really squooshy chair somewhere else. Ahh, it's all I've waited for and more :) LOL

This is terrible and kind of amusing at the same time ;) Remember my stupid Igor neck last summer at swim lessons? Yeah, that one came from turing sideways. Not too far, just looking sideways...so stupid and maddening isn't it?

Hope your shoulder is feeling better now.

What a nice husband to give you a massage- Steve gives me massages when I ask him too, but he hurts me worse than before I got the massage-so I don't ask him much. Can I get some advice from you- how do you handle 4 kids. I know people say "I take them one at a time'- but it feels like I am dealing with 2 at a time. I hope it gets easier after the newborn stage.
