Feeling a little fired up. Today I took Addison to an appointment. The nurse was looking at my file and says "Addison is your... one, two, three... fourth child." Yes, he is. "Are you done?" My response when people ask me that is always the same: "I'm done for now." It makes me sad to think that I will never have another baby. But right now, I'm happy. I have my two girls and my two boys. I fit in my house. I can't afford anymore. right now. But I'm also only 28. I do have a few more acceptable child bearing years. Jeremy and I always said we would have 5. So I have a good 7 years to decide if I want another one. I don't know if I will. But it comforts me to know that I could. So back to today, after I give my usual response, she says "FOR NOW?!? You're going to have MORE?!? You have 4!" I politely respond, that yes I do, but that I still have time to decide if I want to have another one, but I'm good for now. She won't let it go, "but THAT'S a LOT!!" Of course I was polite, but inside I'm just thinking, really?! Who are YOU to decide what I can and can't do? There is no medical reason I can't have another one, and it's not like she will be taking care of my baby. Why do some people feel like they have to single-handedly make sure that the earth is not being over populated by me? My husband and I are married, we love each other, and we love our children. Would it be so bad to add one more to that?
Back when I only had 3, I was in a craft store, and the checker lady asks me, "Are those ALL yours??" Yes, all 3 of them. She then proceeds to say: "You're done, RIGHT?!?" No, lady, I'm not, actually I was planning on having 2 more.
Has anyone else had any experience with this?? It is so frustrating that people can't help themselves but say things. When I see someone that does something I don't agree with, I don't stop them and make sure they're planning on stopping. Honestly people. Keep it to yourself!!!

Dinner talk
Family dinners are awesome. You never know what will come up. It's nice to have time to talk to your kids about their hopes and dreams, right? But how do you keep from busting up when their hopes and dreams consist of the following:
Liah: I'm going to have one kid when I grow up.
Emily: I thought you were going to have 10 kids.
Liah: No, Emily, I never said a number.
Emily: Oh, yeah! You said you were going to have a baby named Hannah Montana!
Liah: Yeaaaahh.
Emily: Well I want to have a baby named Hannah Montana, too.
Liah: Wow, they might get mixed up. Actually, I'm going to have a baby named Miley Cyrus.
Oh. my. goodness. Good thing they have time before this actually becomes an issue! ...otherwise we might be having the best of both worlds in this family....

Race Day!
I ran my first race today!!! It was the Shoreline Run in Richland which is a 10K. I ran the whole 6.2 miles! My time was 1:07:33, but the time in the picture says 1:07:04. So they were off a good 30 seconds on my time. Oh, well! It was so fun to do this with my sister and with my running group. There were so many times I wanted to quit, but I'm so glad I didn't! I started getting all emotional when I came around the last bend and I could see my family there cheering me on! It felt so good to accomplish something and have them waiting for me at the end. Liah wouldn't let me give her a kiss because, and I quote she "didn't want a stinky kiss". lol

My favorite sister Lorie and me!

Thanks for playing!
Thanks for playing yesterday! It was good motivation for me. I have to admit I was a little worried that you would all be disappointed in me! There is no way I can single-handedly fold and put away 5 loads of laundry in a half hour! You must all be amazing.
I thought there was going to be a tie between Heather D. and Lindsay B. who guessed 1 hr. 30min and 1 hr. 15 min. But then Bonnie H. swooped in a put 1 hr 17 min. The actual time was 1 hour and 22 minutes. So Bonnie wins! But because you two were the next closest, you win too! Happy apricot jam to you. After I finished laundry, I finished sewing THIS apron and made apricot jam. :)

Fold me! Fold me!!!
Hi. My name is Amy and it has been 25 days since my last post. :)
So I've been running like a maniac for the last month. Some friends and I are training for a half marathon in September and I'm so excited about it! This Saturday we're running a 10K. My sister is here visiting and she's going to run it with me! And by "with me", I mean at the same time as me. She runs WAY faster! But it will be fun. So this morning as part of our training at *cough* 5:30am, we switched things up a bit and hiked Badger mountain. Now that I've tackled THAT mountain, I am left with THIS one:
That's right, my mountain of laundry. My sister has taken the girls on a little trip today, and I'm determined to get caught up here! SO. I need some motivation. I'm turning it into a little contest, at my expense of course:
Guess how long it will take me from start to finish to fold and put away this MOUNTAIN of laundry! Whoever guesses closest to the actual time wins a jar of homemade apricot jam! Which will be freshly made after I'm done folding laundry today! (if you hate apricot jam, I can negotiate. I have many varieties...)
GUESS AWAY!!!
