Enough is enough!

Since we moved here in 2003, our house has been the neighborhood bus stop. Did we ask for this? No, but we have dealt with it. Kids waiting by our house in 3 shifts every morning and afternoon, waiting for the bus or being dropped off. We have had problems with them being ridiculously loud, leaving trash in our yard, running in our yard, getting in fights in our yard, jumping off of Jeremy's truck, having snowball fights in our yard. Jeremy has complained on many occasions to the district, and I always roll my eyes. Just let it be. But today is another story. We walk outside to take the girls to school and etched into the frost on Jeremy's truck window staring us in the face is profanity. Enough is enough. He called again, and apparently the bus driver caught the kids doing this on both our cars and wrote the kids up for it. All I know is my daughter can read now, and this is not what I want her reading. But to walk outside and be confronted with that??? Come on. Okay I'm done now.

Jessica's solutions:
1.dress up in super scary freakish witch costumes and scare the crap out of them.

2. Did I mention garden hose? whoops.

3. A police car waiting, or just Jeremy and a badge. LOL

4. Egg the family's houses

5. Secret video camera, then email the incriminating evidence to the parents.

6. A car alarm that screams at them when they touch it, and doesn't even off dry clothes for when they wet their pants.

7. All of the above on the same day! Witch, badge, camera, screaming. Enough for at least a few less at the bus stop that day! haha

I know these are ridiculous, but it was fun to imagine.

Sprinkling system??? Just watch and turn it on magically. That's too bad those kids have to do crazy junk like that. Where are there parents, and better yet, is it high school kids, elementary, jr. high??? Or all three??

Yeah, keep complaining until they move the stop. It should just be on some corner somewhere.

Good luck with that.

I'm so sorry! I hope that things get worked out and you don't have to worry about that any more.

We have a bus stop somewhere close to our house and, since we don't have a fence up yet, high school kids would walk through our yard to get to the street behind us. Although nothing ever bad happened, it was still annoying to have them walking through our yard. I haven't noticed them this year though, and we're planning to put a fence up in the spring, so that should take care of that.

Yeah, our corner is the bus stop as well. We have our fair share of loudness, litter (cigarette butts??), walking though our yard...But it's never been a REAL problem, like profanity. I would be ticked!!

My mom workd for the transportation dept of a school district here for a long time and no one ever wants the stop in front of their house, so it is hard, but honestly if they are trespassing on your property, writing profanity on your truck windows, they are breaking the law. I would call the police stations and let them know the situation and they should have a police officer come by one morning. Hopefully that will scare them.

Another option is to go out and talk tot he bus driver in the morning, let her know what is going on.
